Are you prepared?
When disasters and medical emergencies strike, public safety personnel and lay responders rely on two critical components: their experience and training.
Do you have experience in responding to emergencies?
If yes, did you debrief and reflect on the things that went well in your patient care? Have you reflected on the things that were within your control that could have gone better? How would you modify care to improve patient outcomes?
If you have not reflected on this in a constructive and purposeful manner before, you should. Learning through our mistakes makes us good responders. Learning from others' mistakes makes us the best responders. Our training content, in conjunction with the American Red Cross training curriculum, enables participants to learn quality skills, that have been learned over time through others' experiences and scientific research.
Do you feel that your prior training has prepared you?
If your life depended on it, would you trust yourself with the skills you've learned in your prior training? When was the last time that you tested your skills? How proactive are you in the development and maintenance of your skillset?
During an emergency, you will rely on your experience and training. If you don't have experience, then you are relying heavily on your training. And, if your prior training was poor YOU will be a phttps://cprenroll.me/jgMX2zFKGUoor provider.
Train diligently today so that you can respond and treat well tomorrow.
